A Beautiful Location

The Well Café is a café with a beautiful position overlooking the River Exe. It has been open for some years now and the café is part of the local community. They serve jacket potatoes, paninis, toasties and sandwiches with a choice of various fillings as well as hot and cold drinks and they are especially proud of their delicious home made cakes.

The café has recently come under new management so there is new décor and the regulars seem to approve! There are regular displays of local artists work and and the café will run a regular craft fair for all sorts of creative arts.

The café is a place where people come to relax on our comfy sofas or to meet and socialize around common interests.

A Come and Yarn session runs on Friday mornings between 10 and 12 for people who knit and crochet to come together and share skills and patterns. Due to the café being a part of Riverside Christian Centre there are more activities going on in the building such as: Mothers & Toddlers, High 5 (primary children’s club), Youth groups etc.

Angelica says:-

We have a very friendly atmosphere and all is welcome. As we are a part of a church we do have people on site who are willing to take time with people who want to talk or off-load. We also have a prayer room at the back that can be used for people who want to take some quiet time out.

“My name is Angelica, and I am the new café coordinator starting from April this year. So far it has been a very pleasant experience and I find it very exciting to see what this space will turn into. I have previous experience in working in cafés and I love being back in the business. I am very passionate about good service and a satisfied customer.”
