Knit, Natter And Sew
We started with one knit and natter group on a Wednesday but have found it so popular we now have three.
Tuesday 10am – 12pm, Wednesday 2pm – 4pm and Saturday 2pm – 4pm. They are lovely groups were you can knit and crochet and drink tea. It’s no good if you are on a diet as quite often cake is involved. The groups are a great to make new friends and help each other with ideas and advice.
We also run sewing lessons with Sarah Radford this is for any ability from basic dressmaking to tailoring. Learn to crochet classes run on a evening. Contact Village Yarns (details below) for details.
The Village Yarns Story
My name is Jane Prince and my business partner is Pamela Brewer we both grew up locally myself in Beacon Heath and Pam in Stoke Cannon. We met working for Tescos. Pam was a stock controller and I as a merchandiser.
After I had a bad injury with my back Pam would kindly take me out as I could not drive for a length of time. We went to all the wool shops locally as we both had a passion for knitting and crochet but we found that there was never anywhere to sit and look at patterns and could not find exactly what we wanted.
Happily when sitting drinking tea one day, we just said we could do better than this, and from this we started our shop!
