Vegetarian Café

The Plant Café situated on the Cathedral Green, is a vegetarian Café and many dietary requirements are also catered for. Everything is homemade from scratch on site. They focus on using local and organic produce wherever possible.

The Plant has a zero waste policy, using recyclable packaging, composting and biodegradable cleaning products.

From The Plant there is a beautiful view of the cathedral and green.

Polly says:-

“We make everything from scratch on site therefore we know exactly what goes into everything we sell, so there are no hidden nasties. We are not your average vegetarian café as we focus on a healthy alternative way of preparing vegetarian food whilst never forgetting about flavour. Even the most carnivorous of customers will leave more than satisfied.”

The Plant Café Story

Abi, Hannah and Polly all started working in the Plant 8 years ago when the café first opened. After four years the owners decided to sell. At which point the girls wanted to take it on to keep the ethos, standard and family atmosphere of the cafe going.

They have built on what was already there and have been bustling ever since!
