Arrietty stocks affordable handmade day dresses, handmade gifts, vintage notions and extra special haberdashery items. You can go all the way from sewing Novice to sewing pro with Arietty via their Sewing School, or another of their fine Crafty and Creative Workshops for adults or younger people. They can also provide Sewing Parties and 1:1 tuition on request. The tutors are experts who are exceptionally warm, reassuring and friendly.

They can also provide bespoke vintage inspired wedding dresses and alterations services.

Beginning in August there is a live music and performance schedule.

The owners of Arrietty delight in the fact that all their dresses and handmade items are unique. They feel they offer high quality handmade dresses, that are available at better prices than high street chains.

The Arrietty Team were privileged to be the sole workshop providers for the amazing ‘Crikey Its Vintage Fair’ at Killerton July 2013. In it’s previous incarnation on Magdalen Road, Arrietty was selected as one of Grazia Magazine’s ‘Hidden Treasures’ of the South West. We also had ‘Come Dine With Me’ shooting in our shop.

We worked together to provide the jackets for the Sky TV Show Design Dealers, starring none other than ex Fore St icon Sarah Brunner (Otto Retro founder).

Having had a longstanding passion for curios, textiles and crafts, I opened Arrietty one year ago in Magdalen Road which was a great success. Now I am teaming up with my mother, Lesley, and her business partner, Corinne, where the best bits of the ‘old’ Arrietty will be complimented by their phenomenal talents!”
