Taunton Leisure have been providing quality outdoor leisure equipment for over 35 years. There are three stores in the South West of England, Taunton, Bristol and Exeter.

They specialise in trekking and walking equipment so boot and rucksack fitting is a big part of their business. The shop stocks over 30 different pairs of walking boots and approach shoes for men and women as well as 50 different rucksacks to choose from.

Camping, Walking And Climbing

Taunton Leisure also has a large camping department and up to twenty tents on display at any one time. Whether it be lightweight backpacking or “glamping” and family camping there should be the right tent for you.

The clothing range is really comprehensive and there is a large range of waterproofs, fleece, softshell and baselayer etc from brands such as RAB, Arcteryx, Icebreaker, The North Face and many more.

There is a very extensive range of climbing equipment. Rock boots, ropes, harnesses and hardwear. In fact they have everything you need to get started or progress forwards and upwards!

The Taunton Leisure Story

Taunton Leisure opened its doors to the general public in 1977 and has been going strong ever since. Having established the Taunton shop they decided to expand and the two logical locations for new stores were Exeter and Bristol.

The Exeter shop was opened in 1991 and has been a great success; being quite close to the moors and the coast we enjoy a wide range of customers with diverse equipment needs.
